Travelers Homeowners Quote: What to Compare Before You Decide

Have a Travelers homeowners proposal? Compare rebuilding limits, roof terms, water exclusions and deductibles with other available options before deciding.

Home Insurance

Compare the policy, not just the carrier name

If you have a Travelers homeowners proposal, it can be a useful starting point for comparing coverage. 5280 Insurance Agency is a multi-carrier office; Farmers is our primary carrier, and Travelers is among the companies shown on our home-page carrier display that we can write with. A specific Travelers product or property must still meet state and underwriting requirements.

Questions for a side-by-side review

Dwelling and roof. Compare the rebuilding limit, roof settlement terms and any separate wind or hail deductible. Market value is not the same as rebuilding cost.

Belongings and liability. Check personal property limits and settlement terms, other structures, loss-of-use coverage and personal liability. Ask whether valuables require special treatment.

Water and exclusions. A standard home policy generally excludes flood. Ask separately about water backup and other water-related losses; policy wording matters.

Total out-of-pocket cost. A lower premium can come with a different deductible or narrower coverage. Review every proposal on comparable limits and terms before deciding.

If you are also comparing auto coverage, a multi-policy discount is only one factor. A bundle should still meet your needs on both policies; see our home insurance guide and auto insurance guide.

Where our agency fits

Our team can explain available options with Travelers, Farmers and other carriers we can write with, subject to your location and eligibility. We will not claim to issue, service or change a policy for an insurer we are not authorized to represent. Request an insurance review to discuss your situation; submitting a request is not an instant quote and does not bind coverage.
