Mobile and Manufactured Home Insurance Comparison for Multi-State Owners
Own a primary and seasonal manufactured home in different states? Gather occupancy, construction and policy details before comparing available coverage.

Home Insurance
Two properties can require two different conversations
A primary home in one state and a seasonal manufactured home in another may differ in construction, occupancy, weather exposure and local policy availability. Do not assume a single standard homeowners policy or one insurer can address both properties. Start with the facts for each address.
5280 Insurance Agency is a multi-carrier office, with Farmers as our primary carrier. We can write with the carriers shown on our home page; a licensed team member can confirm options for each state and property. We cannot promise a single policy or carrier for every address.
Gather the details for each home
- Address, construction type, approximate age and any identification information the carrier requests
- Whether it is a primary, seasonal, vacant or rented property
- Roof age, improvements, detached structures and belongings
- Any community, lender or lease requirements
- Current declarations pages, renewal dates and known claims or coverage questions
Some insurers distinguish older mobile homes from newer manufactured homes and may ask for additional documentation. Eligibility and policy form are determined by the actual property and carrier. Do not assume a particular form, discount or replacement-cost option applies without confirmation.
Compare the policy terms
Check the dwelling amount and how a covered loss would be settled. Ask about the roof, other structures, personal property, liability and loss-of-use provisions. Review general and wind/hail deductibles, water-related exclusions and whether flood needs separate coverage. Seasonal or vacant use can affect the terms, so describe how long each home is occupied and by whom.
Different states and properties may call for separate policies and licensed professionals. Our manufactured-home guide and personal specialty coverage page explain useful questions, but your actual policy wording and eligibility control.
Coordinate without assuming a guarantee
Keep a list of each policy's insurer, named insured, address, effective date and service contact. A coordinated review can help you spot questions or overlaps, but it does not guarantee every risk is covered or that a multi-policy discount is available.
If you want help with properties in states we serve, contact our team and tell us where each home is located. A licensed team member will confirm available next steps. An inquiry is not an instant quote and does not bind coverage.
