Top-Rated Home and Auto Insurers: What a Bundle Review Adds
Insurer ratings do not settle every coverage question. Learn what to compare in a home-and-auto bundle and how an agent can help review it.

Ratings are a starting point, not a coverage decision
Financial strength and customer-service information can help you research an insurer. Neither a top-rated list nor a familiar logo tells you whether a particular home-and-auto proposal has the right limits, deductibles and exclusions for your household.
When reviewing a bundle, compare each policy separately. On the home side, check the dwelling rebuild estimate, personal-property and liability limits, roof settlement terms, water-backup options and any separate wind/hail deductible. On the auto side, confirm every driver and vehicle, liability limits, comprehensive and collision deductibles, and optional coverages. Then compare the total premium, any multi-policy discount, payment terms and what might change at renewal. Discounts and features depend on the insurer, applicant and state.
A combined bill can be convenient, but it does not guarantee that keeping both policies together is the best choice. Similarly, a different insurer’s lower quote may reflect different coverage. The NAIC home insurance guide can help organize a like-for-like comparison.
What 5280 can review
5280 Insurance Agency is a multi-carrier office. Farmers is our primary carrier, and the companies shown in our home-page logo display are carriers we can write with. We can discuss the details of your current home and auto policies and compare available options, subject to state, product and applicant eligibility. We do not promise to quote every insurer in the marketplace or to beat an existing price.
For a useful conversation, bring your current declarations pages and renewal notice, and tell us about changes such as a new driver, renovation or move. Request an insurance review or contact our team. If sending policy documents, use secure policy sharing.
